Another great recipe. I grew up all my life not eating sweet potatoes, my father doesn't like them so my mom never fixed them. Then I married Brett who loves sweet potatoes, so I had to start coming up with creative recipes for sweet potatoes. This is a recipe I chose and since it was Thanksgiving season, I think it was perfect. I didn't make any alterations to the recipe at all, it was a little hard to bake the mixture in the oranges, but it makes for a great presentation. We were just about to dig in when both Brett and I realized that we had not taken a picture of the masterpiece, so I guess you get to see all the other great food we were able to have. We spent the holiday with my family in New Mexico, my mother cooks for an army even though there were only four of us there, so we had to roll ourselves all the way back to Utah with the amount of food that she had us eat.
I'm glad that Brett is opening you up to sweet potatoes, Lynda. I love them, and your sweet potato oranges turned out great!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have made sweet potato bread, sweet mashed potatoes, sweet potato muffins. It has been fun! I look forward to seeing yours!
ReplyDeleteThose all sound tasty! You are to sweet potatoes as Bubba from Forrest Gump is to shrimp.
