A Fiesta not a Siesta


This cake definitely wakes you up when you take a bite. The chili powder in this cake gives it a good kick. I really didn't taste the chili powder when I ate the first slice but a few days later, I tried a second piece and it had a little more bite to it. The recipe also suggests that you serve the cake with whipping cream and a touch of cinnamon, this helps cut the chocolateyness (is this a word) of the cake.

The recipe was overall very easy to make and really did not take a lot of time. I am not sure if I will make it again, only reason being is because it was not my hubby's favorite and I don't want to be left with eating all this cake by myself. I will be taking the leftovers to work tomorrow and see what everyone else thinks.
